Unlike the large power catamarans that carry upwards to 149 passengers, Trilogy’s boats average 40-50 guests. Patrons aboard are afforded a more spacious sailing experience and crew can give individualized attention with superior quality of service. This includes the crew learning the names of all guests and treating each individual like part of the ‘ohana (family). This level of customer service has won the repeat loyalty of guests and their word-of-mouth recommendations, allowing Trilogy to remain as Maui’s #1 Sailing company for the past 44 years.
Trilogy’s lead Special Events Coordinator, Jenny Coon, moved to Maui in December of 2009 after graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from Auburn University. In 2012, she joined Trilogy with two years of experience as an Assistant Manager in Recreation for the Four Seasons Resort Wailea. Trilogy was the perfect blend of jobs she loved most: assisting guests in the planning of their Maui vacation and delivering 5-star experiences. Soon after her arrival at Trilogy she met and fell in love with one of Trilogy’s Captains, Riley Coon. They wed shortly thereafter. Having organized a successful destination wedding week for her family and friends visiting from all parts of the US, she realized she not only enjoyed timelines, details, and working with vendors but was actually good at planning and sticking to budget! Jenny quickly put this same enthusiasm and expertise into Trilogy’s Wedding department and since then has been the lead coordinator on over 100 wedding events. Her experience and dedication to excellence allows every Trilogy bride the comfort and assurance in knowing their special day is in the best of hands.

Trilogy’s Assistant Special Events Coordinator, Taryn Johnson, is the newest addition to the Trilogy Weddings team. Though she’s only lived in Maui since April 2016, Taryn has quickly fallen in love with the beauty and magic of the island. After working in Events & Marketing in Boston, MA for three years, Taryn ditched the cold weather and bought a one-way ticket to Maui to fulfill her dreams. With experience in large-scale event planning and customer service, Taryn was the perfect fit for Trilogy’s Special Events team and has loved the challenges and excitement of hosting events on the water. Tarynearned her B.A. in Media Arts and Entertainment at Elon University where she built on her creativity and passion for entertainment. She’s always loved hosting her own parties and celebrations, so naturally, she has loved working with brides and grooms from all over the world to create fun and memorable weddings. Taryn brings her passion and precision to each event. Her ability to achieve the unique vision of each couple, is her personal measure of success.

Trilogy’s Director of Sales and Marketing, LiAnne Driessen, has over 9 years of experience working within the ocean recreation and hospitality industry. She has coordinated countless events for specialized groups ranging in size from 50-300 people. Her background in Conference, Meeting, and Incentive travel, lent itself naturally into wedding coordination and specialized group charters. LiAnne received her M.B.A from the University of Portland with an emphasis in Marketing. This niche study has lent itself to the creative planning process with her clients: specifically, in structuring the complex timeline of a wedding week and the budgeting that goes along with it. LiAnne is sensitive to follow the vision of each guest while bringing inspired ideas to add that extra pop of “WOW” to her client’s special day.
